What a fantastic post about the real...Dear Roseli,
What a fantastic post about the real meaning of mentoring. I didn't know about the origin of the word. When I think about mentoring, I usually think of gratitude, I have been so lucky to meet wonderful people who have inspired me and guided me with so much love, this was a new world to me. When I was younger the mentor was very often seen as "the boss" who eventually would come into your classroom to judge your work. Actually this mentor was called "auditor" very often. One of the images that comes to me when I think about mentoring is two educators walking together and talking. Then, sitting down at a cafe maybe to take some notes. Do you think it is possible to follow a person as your mentor and this person does not know about your considering him or her "your mentor"?. Is it possible to think that when we discuss an issue in our FB groups, for ex. we mentoring each other? Or do you think that the relation "mentor-mentee" should be formally agreed?
Thanks Rosali, learning from and with you feels so good. You have inspired me to take a step forward. Learning is our daily companion.
Debbie
Debbiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10945305463134162033noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7488326312684470910.post-18922865038614590042013-05-20T11:01:46.391-03:002013-05-20T11:01:46.391-03:00I'm so happy to read your new blog post.
